Violets are Blue EOTD

I couldn't think of another title for this look..so the title of this post was my last resort. I didn't want to name it the regular "Purple eye look tutorial" blah blah blah. I really wanted to play around with my NYX trios, and give my MAC 222 some love. I absolutely love the color purple, and it compliments all skin tones..like seriously. I'll upload the video some time next week. I cannot wait for E! tonight, in regards to Jon and Kate plus 8! It's so shocking :O
Products Used:

How I apply my corrector/concealer

This is how I apply my concealer using the Bobbi Brown Corrector (Light Peach), and Bobbi Brown Concealer (Natural). Here I will show you step by step of what I basically do everyday to conceal my under eye circles :) Steps: 1. Always prep your eye area with an eye cream! I'm using Bobbi Brown's moisturizing eye cream. -This is important because eye cream is soothing, which contains ingredients that are fragrance free! (No irritation!) Also, eye cream helps with hydration around the eye area. This is our most delicate part of the skin on our face!
2. Allow eye cream to dry/set.
3. Grab your concealer brush for precise application.
4. Apply your corrector! -Corrector helps to even out the blues/greens/ or whatever color you may have under your eye with your natural skin color.
5. Blend out the corrector with your ring finger. -Your ring finger has the least amount of pressure. Which is perfect for your under eye area, since it is so delicate!
6. Apply your concealer! -Concealer helps to brighten up the under eye area, and also hide any blemishes!
7. Blend away with your ring finger again. -Fingers help to warm up the formula for better blending. A brush will just take away the concealer making it uneven.
8. Always set your concealer with translucent powder! -Important to do so, because the powder will help with longer wear and help your eyes appear more awake!

It's thundering here, and i'm all alone....SCARRY! Cynthia

Bobbi Brown Haul

Sooo another haul - and I call it "haul" bc all this stuff was over $220.00! So that constitutes a haul, in my opinion. Like I said in my video, I felt like I was scammed into buying most of the stuff bc I can't say NO. The MAIN reason as to why I went to Bobbi Brown in the first place is to buy a corrector/concealer. Their Correctors are AMAZING!!! And I love the variety of colors, you can definitely find one that will eliminate the bruised look under any eye. Mine are especially bruised looking, so sorry MAC concealer..i'm putting you to the side.
Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil
Bobbi Brown Vitamin E face base/moisturizer
Corrector in Light Peach
Bobbi Brown concealer in Natural
Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains
My babe and I skyping it up while he's out of town in Mexico. :) Cynthia

MAC Style Warriors Haul!

FINALLY! A little background story here, I went to the MAC freestanding store yesterday right when the mall opened (10am). The MAC artist told me the collection doesn't come out until the 21st - and I was totally confused because I was POSITIVE it comes out on the 20th! So I left with some paintpots, and a gel liner - necessities. Then I went back to the MAC store today at 10am, and the same makeup artist told me: MAC Artist "I felt so bad yesterday, because I got a call from my boss and they said the collection actually was released yesterday." Me "That sucks for me." So basically I waited an extra day for nothing, and stuff like this just only happens to me..I SWEAR IT DOES! Here are all the goodies, plus 2 eyelashes that I picked up on my way home :)
Anyway, what did you all get from this collection? I'm really excited, I actually did a look with all this stuff today too! Sneak Peek:

I'm really diggin' the yellow eyeshadow (Bright Future). I never thought i'd be able to wear funky colors, but this is so subtle I wore it out to lunch with my mommy today :)

Weekend is almost here! Cynthia

Face Primer: Yes or No?

Hey everyone, thank you so much for all of you that have voted for the body shop face off! It means a great deal to ME (of course) and to all the other gurus on there as well :) But I have somewhat of an important question to ask. I need your opinions! I have been using this Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base which is suppose to help with priming your face, reducing fine lines/wrinkles, moisturize, protect, help with long wear of makeup, etc etc. Now I know this stuff is good, because most makeup artists at my modeling shoots always use this on me before applying any makeup on my face.
My question is, how many of y'all actually prime your face before applying any makeup? This stuff was expensive! Like $50.00 and I'm not sure if I should re purchase or just stick to regular face lotion. Gimme your opinions and thoughts, pleaseee! Cynthia PS- hubby's in Mexico for 3 weeks..dono if I told you guys that. But i'm very sad and bored. lol Good thing MAC Style Warriors comes out today!!! Follow me on Twitter, I think I update there more :( twitter.com/chanelbluesatin

Modeling vlog and NYX haul

Since a lot of you were wondering what the end result of my modeling vlog pictures looked like, I have a few samples here (hehe):
If you haven't seen the video yet, go check it out. Youtube did catch me for copyright infringement so the song totally doesn't go with my editing (which sucks!), but oh well :( Oh, and to my Anonymous commenter - my youtube page is www.youtube.com/ChanelBlueSatin (Don't like advertising it because I don't want family members seeing me, but I guess sooner or later it's bound to happen?) ALSO! Pictures from the NYX 50% off haul! I didn't get much, and ended up not liking 3 of the trios (the second picture). Let me know if I should give it away as a contest prize or just to a friend/sis/or EBAY?

Review: Cetaphil Cleanser

I honestly do like this product, and many dermatologists have recommended this to their clients. Top 5 reasons as to why I like this cleanser: 1. Water Soluable
*Which means it is gentle to the skin and it's fragrance free! No irritation here!*
2. Not drying *It doesn't leave your skin feeling TIGHT* 3. Removes minimal makeup *Removes little to no makeup! But it's probably best to still use eye makeup remover beforehand* 4. Works with all skin types *Works great for normal to dry skin! They also have a cleanser for oily skin types too! It's great to have a nice range* 5. Washes off easily *Lotion like consistency, easy to rinse, and no need for a wash cloth..ever!!* So if you're on a look out for a great cleanser, stick with this! It costs around $7.99 at Walgreens. This stuff really does work..and cheap too! :) Oh yeah, did I mention that my favorite book "Don't go to the cosmetics counter without me" by Paula Begoun recommends this cleanser too? She's brilliant. Really. Cynthia
