Answers to my last challenge!

Kudos for those who guessed it right!! The tutorial is up on my channel. :) Cynthia

Can you tell which ones which?!

Hey girls! I have a challenge for you all! I did a look today, one side with just MAC eyeshadows, and the other side with my CS palettes! Here are the pics:
LEFT ------------------------- RIGHT
Alright! Now for the challenge! I want you all to leave me a comment and tell me which eye you think I used all MAC and which side I used the CS palettes! It's pretty similar right? This experiment is proving a point!! Not everything needs to be MAC! I will post the answer to this as soon as I upload the video on my channel! So stay tuned!! Good luck guessin' ;) Cynthia

AARRGGHH!!!

Okay girls, first concern - my laptop has FAILED me. The 'screen' part of my laptop gave out on me so my hubby is trying to glue everything back together. But the first attempt was already a FAIL, and now he's contemplating on just buying another SCREEN. UGHHHH... Second concern - I CAN'T FIND MY CAMERAAAA!! So I can't even share with you all what my laptop looks like..because it's honestly a hot mess right now. Who doesn't want to see someones broken laptop..I know I do..bc it makes me feel better about myself that I actually have workable stuff!! I swear i've looked everywhere for this dang thing..and how hard is it to find a big o'l Nikon D80 camera?!? I seriously fail today..seriously. I have so much to do, it's not even funny..school is coming to an end also which means FINALS! And I can't make a video or anything FUN right now bc of my laptop..no microphone. God is testing me..he sure is. Well, I don't want to wish anything bad like what is happening to me onto you girls -so I hope you are all having a wonderful MONDAY! <3 Cynthia

Found a dupe for all you ladies!

So I was experimenting with my MAC pigment that I had bought yesterday from A Rose Romance Collection, and I totally found a dupe!! So if you ladies loveee MAC, but can't keep up with all the collections - or let alone pay $19.50 for a pigment..here's an alternative! The answer is: Coastal Scents 88 shimmer palette! Row 6, up 7 (light blue shade) Pics as usual!!
**Re-did the pic! This ones a better representation of the two colors!**
Soo can anybody tell me which ones which?? Pretty gosh darn similar right? The one on the left is MAC pigment in Mutiny, and the one on the right is from CS palette! Awesome huh?! Cynthia

A Rose Romance - what I purchased

I wanted to show the difference between wet and not wet application. It's so VIRBRANT wet! (top not wet, bottom sprayed with fix +)
I didn't go crazy guys - instead..I bought one pigment in Mutiny and the rest were necessities. (Fix +, and a 242 brush) And a little update on my life - I took a sweet little online certification class for $50+ dollars to become AED, First Aid, and CPR certified! Cheesy as it may seem to be certified in these areas - it's actually quite beneficial for any teachers working with younger kids. It's actually becoming a plus to be certified in these areas, and not many schools will accept you if you're not. Oh..and some sad news. My hubby is a Network Consultant Enginner for Cisco Systems, and he travels quite a bit for work. He'll be leaving next week for 2 weeks. I hate that. It gets really lonely, you know? Anyway, have a good weekend girls <3 Cynthia

How to fake an Asian eye crease

This was requested by one of my viewers, so I decided to post the pics here.
Step 1: Use finger to feel where your brow bone ends and where your eyeball socket begins! Step 2: Next take a dark brown eyeshadow, darker than your skin tone to apply to your crease area. I like to use dark brown and not tannish colors because this allows my eye to have more of a sunken in look. I'm using NYX Hawaiian Coffee. Make sure you don't sweep the darker color down into your lid area, this will make your eyes seem smaller. Step 3: Take an eyeshadow brush, or a small blending brush and apply the color to the tips of the brush. Then sweep the color from the outer portion of your eye inward. I like to use windshield wiping motions. Step 4: Take a highlight color and apply to your brow bone. I'm using MAC eyeshadow in Shroom. Highlighting your brow bone will help lift your brows and make your eyes appear larger. Finished!
*Curling your lashes, adding eyeliner is a must!* - - - I'm hungry.. Cynthia :))

Pink and Purple Eyes

I was playing around with my pinks and purples today because I just bought them from MAC couples weeks ago. I had free time so why not? This is what I came up with, pretty simple..but when I counted how many eyeshadows I used..TOTAL: 5!!!! That's A LOT!!! I would be happy with just one eyeshadow right? I'm going to try that next..just use one eyeshadow all over lid and quit mixing it up to make it all complicated!
Eyes: MAC Swish MAC Sushi Flower MAC Passionate MAC Phloof! CHEEKS: Jane blush in Blushing Petal LIPS: L'oreal Infallible in Undeniable Mauve UPDATE: I passed my generalist EC-4 teaching certification test today! I took it yesterday, and just got my results today! How quick was that? But i'm only half way through with my certs...still have one more in June..ugh. Then I can student teach! Have a good week y'all! Cynthia

Neutral look with a spin

I know I wear a lot of neutral shadows - because I feel like i'm not bold enough to wear color...yet. But look at the difference of neutral browns with just a splash of color, like a blue colored eyeliner!! You can even substitute blue for purple, or green. I happen to think blue and purple compliment my skintone quite well. Simplicity is what I enjoy most, lol. OH, and my Revlon Matte Lipstick in Nude Attitude is probably one of my favorite lipsticks ever! (Although, it is a bit drying) The color is amazinggg, and with alittle bit of a warmer toned gloss over it - it's the perfect peachy nude lip! Besides, Revlon always has BOGOF at drugstores - go pick one up and try it out!

Angry, mad, peeved, etc etc

Don't I just look TIRED?!?!

So this week has probably been the toughest weeks for me by far. I have so many projects due, and modeling jobs that it's been piling up on me. And to top it all off, my husband had surgery so i'm here taking care of him whenever I can, then class, then studying for my certification tests - it's all too much seriously. We have this class project, 5 of us girls have to plan out a thematic unit about Anne Frank. And it turns out, nobody did their part and I had to add in so much crap just so our final project turned out decent!! It shouldn't have to be like this..why doesn't anyone want to help?? I'm just too nice and never say no. "Oh I didn't feel like doing a 4th Art lesson plan, so you can do it if you want." WHAT THE CRAP kind of deal is that?! That makes me SO MAD!!! This may seem like a rant blog, but this blog deserves it's first rant/ramblings. Also, today at the Frito Lay photoshoot, the MUA (makeup artist) was a huge BIATCH! I mean serious..BIATCH! Why can't we all just have a good time doing our job? Is it really that hard? I won't go into detail incase someone finds me here..but she seriously ruined my day. AND to top it all off, at the grocery store Corbin and I were buying beer and the manager lady didn't believe my ID. She specifically said "You've got be joking me!" What kind of response is that?!?!?! I'm 22 and MARRIED! Why can't I just be left alone today!?

But then I did receive in the mail my mac pro card..hehehe This is the only thing that matters today <3

Going to go run some errands and try to get some of my energy back. Anger or jealousy doesn't look good on a girl. It's true. Hope you are all having a bright and cheerful Friday! (Mines rainy and cold) Cynthia
